Yogi is a Nick Branson designed dutch barge completed in approximately 2009, with a rear cabin configuration, a beam of 12ft and a length of 57ft.
Currently berthed in Conyer at North Quay Marina, a very peaceful place close to the Ship Inn and just one mile from Teynham station with regular trains to London Victoria, and London Kings Cross by changing at Sittingbourne.
The mooring may be available subject to approval from the owners of the marina.
Yogi is a perfect pied-à-terre in North Kent but would be equally at home cruising the waterways of Europe.
Engine Room
The engine room is easily accessible below panels in the wheelhouse and rotating stairs in the rear cabin and forward saloon –
- Fitted with a Barrus Shire (John Deere) 4cylinder 90hp diesel engine and a PRM gearbox.
- A Mase water-cooled electrical generator provides 6.5KW of power.
- Hot water via the calorifier and for central heating is provided by a 9KW Webasto diesel fired boiler.
- An engine-driven hydraulic pump provides power to the bow thruster.
Electrical
- 12 solar panels provide charge to 4 Victron 200Ah Li Ion batteries.
- The generator in the engine room can also charge the batteries.
- A 50A high capacity inverter/charger is fitted to control charging and discharging of the batteries.
Accommodation
- The commissioning owner designed the interior based on a theme of curved doors to provide configurable spaces.
- Eg a separate bedroom can be created around the pull-down double bed in the saloon.
- Similarly the galley can be closed off by by rotating a partition/shelf unit.
Galley
- Equipped with refrigerator, washing machine, two free-standing induction hobs and ample storage space.
Saloon
- Two IKEA Chaises longue opposite the wall-mounted tv.
- An extendable dining table with four chairs is located forward – this area may be alternatively configured into a separate bedroom utilising a pull down bed.
- A Clearview wood burning stove augments the central heating system for cold winter nights.
The boat is currently located in Conyer.
